Abstract:

Nowadays universities in the entire world are the origin of innovative ideas and thoughts. Therefore, many scientific, cultural, social, and political developments are stemmed from them. Universities like any other organizations require performance evaluation and measurement in order to use their limited resources optimally and have more efficiency. Since the nature of a university is the type that attracts students and eventually produces science and related graduates, the more additional entries a university has such as the number of students, faculties, educational space and so on, the more outputs such as number of articles, graduates and so on is expected from it. In this research, performance evaluation of Islamic Azad University of Guilan branches which include 15 university branches was evaluated in terms of education and research components, and the whole system was studied through using data envelopment analysis techniques. The efficiency of these branches for the educational year 1393 has been evaluated and discussions have been provided to increase productivity of the branches, and the possibility of similar follow-up researches has been presented.

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

Estimating Efficiency of Bank Branches by Dynamic Network Data Envelopment Analysis and Artificial Neural Network

Network data envelopment analysis models assess efficiency of decision-making unit and its sections using historical data but fail to measure efficiency of its units and their internal stages in the future. In this paper we aim to measure efficiency of stages of bank branches and obtain efficiency trend of stages during the time, then to estimate their efficiency in the future therefore we can ...

Evaluating Subunits Importance in Performance Measurement of Network Systems in Data Envelopment Analysis

In conventional DEA models, decision making units (DMUs) are generally assumed as a black-box while the performance of decision making sub-units (DMSUs) and their importance play crucial roles in  analyzing the performance of systems which have internal processes. The present paper introduces an ideal network which have efficient processes and next purposes a new approach for evaluating importa...
